High Desert Construction has been building custom homes in the Boise, Meridian area for over 12 years. New construction is our main business. We do kitchen and bathroom remodeling, home additions and repairs as well. We promote green, sustainable housing by using products like James Hardie siding that outlasts conventional siding and extends the life of your exterior paint. We have embraced new technology like tankless water heaters, power conditioners, hybrid furnaces, and Puron gas in our air conditioning units. We use recycled materials when it is deemed feasible and available. The goal is to strike a balance between up front costs and return on investment.

Energy efficiency in homes is more important today than ever before. Home security has been a priority for our clients and we began installing self contained security systems six years ago. The system includes 7 smart programmable light switches and two motion detectors. Some of the features include the ability to simulate occupancy when away from the home with lighting control. The system also features remote access to check on security status along with the abitlity to contact homeowners via their cell phone is there is a breech. The smart swithes can save energy by controlling the outside lights as well as timers on the pantry light, stairway lights and any other light that have a tendancy to be left on.

Healthy home technologies have emerged in the last decade due to the need to seal up the homes living envelope. When we pressure test a home to evaluate the amount of air that is escaping and seal it with caulk and blown in insulation home owners end up living in a closed environment. UV lights are now available for residential use to clean the air as it passes through the furnace.
